How We Verify Gaming Commission of Ghana Licenses
Updated: March 2026
The Gaming Commission of Ghana (GCG), established under the Gaming Act 2006 (Act 721), is the sole regulatory authority for all sports betting operations in Ghana.
- 1We obtain the operator's claimed GCG license number directly from their website.
- 2We cross-reference this number against the GCG's official public register.
- 3We verify the license class is appropriate for the operator's business model.
- 4We check the license expiry date to confirm it is current and valid.
- 5We note any conditions or restrictions attached to the license.
- 6We re-verify all licenses on a quarterly basis.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Any operator found operating without a valid GCG license is immediately and permanently removed. We also report unlicensed operators to the GCG directly.
Editorial Independence Policy
GhanaBetting.net maintains a strict separation between our editorial department and our commercial/affiliate team.
- No bookmaker can purchase a higher ranking.
- Affiliate commission rates do not influence review scores.
- Our editorial team has the right to demote or remove any operator.
- All affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly.
- Editors with a personal financial stake are recused from reviewing that operator.
- No review can be published without independent verification.
